On Friday, February 5, 2016, U.S. Senator John Cornyn and his wife Sandy toured several laboratories in the Leonard H.O. Spearman Technology Building of the College of Science, Engineering and Technology. The Cornyn’s were first greeted by TSU Board Chairman Derrick Mitchell and his wife Roslyn in front of the building. Then, they toured the Flight Simulator Lab, MiniTranStar Lab, and the Air Traffic Control Lab. The tour was accompanied by Provost James Ward, and a number of TSU administrators and staff member. The COSET Dean Lei Yu, Captain Roscoe Edwards, director of flight operations, and Vernon Baker, Aviation Science Management program coordinator, provided introductions of the laboratories.
