Mary S. Rollins is a Research Assistant in the Center for Transportation Training & Research (CTTR) at Texas Southern University. Ms. Rollins’ primary responsibility is to edit the various research documents produced by the CTTR. Documents she has worked on include, but are not limited to, Noise Reduction, Transit Oriented Development, National Transportation Security Center of Excellence – Petrochemical Incident Location System, Public Involvement, Intermodalism and Light Rail, and the National Summer Transportation Institute. She also assists in preparing and developing publications exclusive to the CTTR. Rollins provides support as needed to the administrative staff for the various projects and activities of the CTTR. Rollins has over 25 years in the field of Education in both private and public schools. She taught high school, junior high school/middle school English in Iowa, Louisiana and Texas.
She also worked as a textbook consultant for Pearson Learning, McGraw Hill and McMillan. A native of the state of Iowa, Rollins is an alumna of the University of Iowa where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She has worked in the CTTR since 2006.
