COST College Career Day Activities were two seminars and lunch for students and faculty interested in learning the latest applications from Microsoft. The seminars entitled “Study Smarter” and “Get that Job” engaged students in the applications of new technologies in Windows 8, Windows Surface, and Office 365. Bryan Roper, the Microsoft presenter, engaged students in a smooth interactive involvement with the Microsoft cloud app, SkyDrive. The secrets of SkyDrive were a pleasant surprise to the students participating, especially those who brought their laptops. Students found the capabilities thrilling with many “ooos” and “aahhs.” Even some of the faculty was enchanted by the new capabilities.
The Microsoft Campus Tour is also here at TSU for three weeks. Students and faculty can have “touchy-feely” experiences with Windows 8 and the Surface in the Student Center from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. every day until April 12th, and in the New Science Building from April 15th to April 19th.
