TSU Awarded National Transportation Center

Texas Southern University (TSU) will be home to a National Transportation Security Center of Excellence (NTSCE) as announced by U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee (TX-18) and U.S. Representative Al Green (TX-9). TSU is one of only six institutions nationwide and one of two HBCUs to receive a NTSCE. As part of the Homeland Security Centers of Excellence, the NTSCE at TSU will bring together leading experts and researchers to conduct multidisciplinary research and education for homeland security solutions. Specifically, Texas Southern Universitys Center will conduct research and educational activities, and develop and provide professional security training, including the training of transportation employees and transportation professionals.
