The Center for Transportation Training and Research sorrowfully announces the passing of our loved and valued colleague, Khosro Godazi. Godazi joined Dr. Naomi Ledé as she established the Center for Transportation Training and Research in 1983.
He oversaw research projects under the Southwest Region University Transportation Center, directed TSU’s Eisenhower Fellowship program under US Department of Transportation, headed for 20 years our TxDOT Summer Transportation Institutes for High School Students and managed the Center’s budgets. Although he retired fall 2023, he came back summer 2024 to again lead the Summer Transportation Institute. Each year, the programs had rave reviews from students and parents. Godazi had a heart for youth and students and worked tirelessly to help them advance. His loyalty and commitment to the Center for Transportation and Texas Southern University are difficult to match. We deeply appreciate his decades of dedication to our Center and will miss him tremendously.
