COSET Students Win the Phillips 66 Competition

Phillips 66 hosted their annual Case Competition at their Houston HQ office this past October 4th, 2019. Phillips 66 is passionate about showcasing the talent developed at local HBCU’s and creating more career opportunities for HBCU students. This year students came from Texas Southern University and Prairie View A&M University. They invited and recruited Business, Engineering and Technology students for their summer internship program, as well as full-time opportunities. During the competition, students were given the opportunity to: solve a real-world business scenario, present their recommendations in front of a panel of company recruiters and management, and compete for a chance to win $1,000 in cash prizes!

This year’s winning team were five students from Texas Southern University, including a Senior named Chinedu Madeukwe in the Maritime Transportation Management and Security (MTMS) program. Guillermina Canales was also another MTMS student representing the program.
