Basic Research Opportunities from the Army Research

Dr. Bakas will describe the different funding opportunities for basic research offered by the Army. This will include the Army Research Office Programs, mechanisms of cooperative research with the Army Research Laboratory, and larger programs like MURI. Details how ARL is organized will be provided, to help enable future collaboration and partnership with the ARL.

Dr. Michael Bakas is the ARL Regional Lead for the South and prior Program Manager for the ARL Army Research Office’s Synthesis and Processing program. He has a PhD in Ceramic and Materials Engineering from Rutgers University.
