Department of Engineering

The Department of Engineering offers Bachelor’s degree programs in Civil Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering. As a result of the addition of the two new programs, the department has changed its name from the Department of Engineering Technology to the Department of Engineering. The department provides engineering education within an urban environment right in the heart of Houston. The department offers a co-op engineering program whereby students will alternate between classroom and industry experiences. The overall focus is to provide high quality, practice-based engineering education that will fully develop and enrich the students’ lives in a culturally diverse environment.
