U.S. Airforce Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) has granted Texas Southern University $2.25M to establish a “Center for Scientific Machine Learning for Material Science” with the goal of bringing together a multidisciplinary team of experts to develop a foundational Machine Learning and AI framework that will drive advancements in materials design and discovery. Lead by Dr. Yunjiao Wang (Department of Mathematical Sciences) and Dr. Daniel Vrinceanu (Department of Physics), this project leverages collaborations with Texas A&M University, Prairie View A&M University and University of Michigan.
